U.S. CITIZENS ACCUSED OF TERRORIST FINANCING.

TERRORIST FINANCIERS CHARGED IN MIAMI WITH PROVIDING MATERIAL SUPPORT

A US citizen residing in Saudi Arabia, and a Kenyan national, have been returned to the United States, and charged with terrorist financing counts in Federal Court in Miami.
Gufran Ahmed Kauser and Mohamed Hussein Said have been indicted for:
(1) Conspiracy to provide material support to a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
(2) Attempting to provide material support to a Foreign Terrorist organization.
The defendants are accused for sending funds, via Western Union, for the use of Al-Qaeda, the Al-Nusra Front, and Al-Shabaab, in Iraq, Syria and Somalia.
They also allegedly sought to recruit fighters for terrorist organizations operating in Syria. The investigating agency was the FBIs South Florida Joint Terrorism Task Force. _________________________________________________________________________ * Case No.: 13-cr-20364-UU (SD FL).
