FIRST CIVIL SUIT FILED UNDER CANADA'S JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS OF TERRORISM ACT

If you do not live in Canada, you may have missed this.

Sherri Wise, a Vancouver dentist who was injured in a terrorist attack in Israel, has brought the first action under the Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act*.

She has filed against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its Ministry of Information and Security.

Canadian readers: the action was brought in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, under Case No.: 137186 , filed September 27, 2013.
