MARCO DELGADO SCARED TO GO TO PRISION

FROM THE - JOURNALS of Monte Friesner – Criminal & Intelligence Analyst and Consulaire for WANTED SA ~ Contributed & Written by Kenneth Rijock

CARTEL MONEY LAUNDERER MARCO DELGADO IS GOING TO TRIAL

Attorney Delgado at his initial arrest  A US District Court Judge in El Paso has set El Paso attorney Marco Delgado's money laundering trial for October 21st. Readers following the story* will know that Delgado also has another Federal criminal case pending, involving his diversion of a large amount of funds from a Mexican public works project.

The money laundering case has generated more than its share of interest, after it was seen that his attorneys were questioning his mental state for reportedly declining to accept a plea in the case.

As a money launderer for a powerful Mexican cartel, he may have felt that he would probably be killed in prison, shortly after giving any of the testimony a plea bargain would entail, and for that reason, his refusal to give evidence against his employers is understandable. The Court, after diligent inquiry, found Delgado competent to stand trial.

As a cooperating individual hoping to receive a reduced sentence, he might also be compelled to make new cases against other clients, which would further reduce his chances of surviving his incarceration. perhaps attorney/money launderers should consider that before agreeing to launder criminal profits for violent and dangerous clients.

PANAMA BANKS WELCOME DRUG CARTEL BANK ACCOUNTS

FROM THE - JOURNALS of Monte Friesner – Criminal & Intelligence Analyst and Consulaire for WANTED SA   ~Contributed & Written by Kenneth Rijock ~

MAJOR MEXICAN NARCO-TRAFFICKING GROUPS EXPAND IN PANAMA

Compliance officers and client relationship managers at international banks in North America and the European Union kindly take note that Panamanian authorities are warning that some of the more prominent Mexican narcotics cartels are expanding their operations in the Republic of Panama.

This means that laundered drug profits, having been cleansed in Panamanian banks, and now owned by anonymous front companies, all formed by the same small group of busy Panamanian law firms, could be on their way to your jurisdiction, to be invested in an office building near you.
For your information, the cartels that are openly operating in Panama include:

(1) Los Zetas

(2) The Juárez Cartel

(3) The Gulf Cartel

(4) The Beltran Leyva Cartel

If Mexican "businessmen," seeking to invest their capital through your bank, and commence a new account relationship, are using Panama corporations as their vehicle, beware.

Panama's bearer shares cannot be definitively tied to your new clients, as beneficial owners, and you may be doing business with the Devil, or at least his Mexican counterparts, any individuals on the OFAC list.

If still wish to take their business, choose a reputable investigative firm in Panama, not staffed with local (and therefore corruptable) talent, and have it check them out, in both Panama & in Mexico.

If their "employment," or business they claim to own and operate is a fiction, exit them immediately.

If the Source of their wealth cannot be ascertained, close their accounts. finally, watch for front men, all with good references, who are markedly unfamiliar with legalese, and the jargon of finance.

INFORMANTS WHO BREAK THE LAW GO TO JAIL.

FROM THE - JOURNALS of Monte Friesner – Criminal & Intelligence Analyst and Consulaire for WANTED SA ~ Contributed & Written by Kenneth Rijock

COURT FINDS ACCUSED CARTEL MONEY LAUNDERING ATTORNEY COMPETENT FOR TRIAL IN EL PASO

A Federal Judge in Texas has found an accused  money launderer, El Paso attorney Marco Antonio Delgado, competent to stand trial in two separate criminal cases.
Delgado is an alleged money launderer for a Mexican cartel, and is said to have moved $600m in illicit profits. He is also charged with illegally diverting funds for a Mexican energy project.
Rumors have it that his own lawyers had requested the psychiatric examination, (moving documents are sealed, so we have no way of verifying this information) because he had reportedly steadfastly refused to enter a plea in the case.
Perhaps he feared his life would be in danger, should he cooperate with law enforcement, and any plea agreement would recite cooperation. Attorneys generally are aware of the consequences, when they assist law enforcement against particularly violent criminal organizations.
The issue is moot, because he was found competent by the court. The court has, however, stated that he will be undergoing a neurological examination, due to a reputed head injury suffered while in custody.
Was this a prosecutorial ploy to deceive his former clients ? We cannot say, but there are a large number of sealed pleadings in the court file.
We shall continue to follow all developments in this matter, and report back to you.

Here Is Why The Money Laundering Lawyers

FROM THE - JOURNALS of Monte Friesner – Criminal & Intelligence Analyst and Consular for WANTED SA
~Contributed & Written by Kenneth Rijock ~

WHY MONEY LAUNDERING LAWYERS DO NOT PLEAD GUILTY
The Federal trial of prominent El Paso Attorney Marco Delgado is set for next Monday, but his attorneys are seeking a delay, and are reportedly asking the District Judge to subject their client to a psychiatric evaluation.  The reason will surprise you.

Delgado allegedly has refused to enter a plea in the case, claiming that he is innocent of laundering drug profits for a Mexican Cartel, and of illegally diverting millions of dollars, destined for an energy construction project in Mexico, to his own use, in an account in an offshore financial centre. Considering that the maximum penalty for money laundering is twenty years, you may wonder why he will not agree to a plea bargain, which would result in a lesser sentence.

By now, your curiosity is certainly aroused; Delgado, as a practising attorney, certainly knows that any plea agreement will require him to be extensively debrief, and probably testify against his cartel boss, and some of the lieutenants in the organization. he know that, wherever he goes in the Federal Prison system, he will in mortal danger of assassination.

His attorneys think he has possible mental problems, because he refuses to plead out, and will forfeit several more years of his life in custody, but Delgado knows that his life would end shortly after he arrived in prison, of he testified against the cartel leader that he worked for. As I always say, money laundering is a white collar crime,  but remember who your clients are.
