BOTH SIDES REQUEST ORAL ARGUMENT IN VIKTOR BOUT APPEAL

Both the United States Attorney, and Viktor Bout's defense attorney, have now requested that the Second Circuit Court of Appeals schedule Oral Argument in this case.

In response, the Court has apparently set it for the week of 18 August. If you have been following my articles on the briefs filed, you know that the US Attorney's Office has asserted that what Bout's counsel has urged are multiple reversible errors, are merely harmless errors, and the government has cited extensively to legal authorities that support its argument.

 We shall continue to keep you updated on the progress of the appeal.
